Base price- $30
Projects range from $5-$30 depending on project selected.
Learn practical sewing skills in focused, one-hour lessons designed to complete a project in each session. Whether you’re a beginner or refreshing your skills, lessons cover machine operation, basic techniques, and step-by-step guidance to finish a wearable or useful item by the end of the hour.

One-hour, instructor-led session with hands-on practice
Clear, project-based curriculum (each lesson results in a finished item)
Sewing machine provided, or bring your own to learn on
All materials provided, unless otherwise stated in advance
Skills you’ll learn
Setting up and threading a sewing machine
Selecting needles and thread for different fabrics
Straight and curved seams, backstitching, and finishing edges
Basic garment or accessory construction techniques relevant to the project
Who it’s for
Complete beginners who want guided, practical instruction
Intermediate sewists looking to refine machine skills
Anyone wanting a focused, project-oriented lesson
Scheduling and what to bring
One-hour sessions scheduled by appointment
Bring your own sewing machine if you prefer; otherwise a machine will be provided
Materials will be provided for each project. You may also bring fabric and notions of your own if help is desired on current projects.
Finish each session with a completed project and the skills to build on for future lessons.
Prices for lessons will vary on project selected
Beginner- Level 1- Beginner- Focuses on learning the machine, sewing straight seams, and basic projects. Will start with easy to work with fabrics (cotton and follow simple instructions.)
Level 2- Advanced Beginner- Comfortable with basics and simple patterns. They are able to navigate different fabric types (knit vs. wovens) and basic garment construction.
Level 4- Intermediate- Proficient in sewing, understanding grainlines, and executing techniques like zippers, linings, and pockets. They can follow more complex patterns and begin making basic fit adjustments.
Level 5- Advanced- Masters complex techniques, tricky fabrics (ex. silk, velvet), and advanced fitting adjustments. They can modify patterns, draft their own, and utilize couture finishing methods.
